These are a very alien species that are memetic in nature, and their shapes are made out of literally living light, shadows, dreams, and nightmares. They are pretty friendly for the most part. Their species name is literally unpronounceable because, while they can communicate with other species, their own language is made of ideas, feelings, concepts, and rhetoric. Literally. They are memetic in origin and ever-shifting and ever-changing in appearance as they exist in various "dimensions" at the same time; as such, they don't have a fixed or even a true form, because to them, just being "them" is enough and clear-cut. They're capable of understanding, interaction, feelings, and everything any sapient/sophont species can experience, so they don't feed on memories, emotions, or anything of the sort, though they can "tap" into other creatures to experience what they experience. They can also invade the minds of others in their dreams, granting a lucid dreaming and an astral projection on others, and in the "dreamscape" they can manifest a more solid form based on the dreams, nightmares, and perception of the owner's mind.
