Blyth

The Blyth is a race of canidoids that suffered the tragic fate of being the closest interstellar neighbours to the Pryfyn. Their once rich culture and vibrant society was shattered by the insectoids as the Pryfyn ruthlessly used the Blyth as hosts for reproduction. The intelligent but low technologically developed Blyth have been driven to near extinction by the uncontrollable urges and actions of their insectoid conquerors. While most Blyth make perfect host, a small minority of them, 3%, reject the implementation of Pryfyn eggs and even cause an allergic reaction to the would-be implanter. This tiny minority is all that is left of the race apart from a handful of wild Blyths that are hunted through the ruins of their once great cities. The remaining Blyth show the failed impregnation scars on their stomachs as a way of making Pryfyn aware of their uselessness as hosts. They also tend to wear some violet and colours spreading into the ultra-violet spectrum, as the Pryfyn can see these colours and perceive them as uncomfortable warnings signs.
